Om Shanti Om

The biggest Bollywood hit of the year and I have finally seen it...and I loved it. There is nothing new about the film, but that's precisely why it has been such a hit. Farah Khan and co have done a fantastic job of capturing old school bollywood with all its retro and kitsch look.

It was a shame that I couldn't see it in India, but managed to catch it at a local cinema in London. I'll certainly be singing 'Om shanti Om'.

Lifestyle..

I came across this store in Delhi and was bowled over, it reminded me of stores like Debenhams, John Lewis and Marks and Spencer which are available in the UK. They have a good range of clothes and home furnishings- just the right amount to keep any shopaholic happy.

I will certainly be recommending Lifestyle.

Check out their website or even better go and vist one of their stores in India.. http://www.lifestylestores.com/pages/store_locator.htm

shuma.rani returns

Well, my month in India flew by so quickly. In that time, I managed to visit Kolkata, Nagpur, Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Ajmer, Pushkar and finally Mumbai...phew I need another holiday :-)

I did manage to take lots of photos and hope to upload a sample of them - very soon. Firstly, i need to nurse myself from a teribble cold. It feels alittle weird being back to reality, but at the same time I can start planning my next holiday....

Welcome back shuma.rani

New adventures, new experiences

Well, it's the day before I begin my month long adventure in India- which is becoming an annual treat. So, watch out for photos and postings from Kolkata, Nagpur, Delhi, Jaipur and Mumbai.

I always enjoy going to new places and meeting random people and having equally random, yet engrossing conversations. I'm sure the next month will include new adventures and new experiences.

India here I come.....
